Overview of ARIB Standards (STD-T95)
1. Overview
STD Number | ARIB STD-T95 |
---|---|
Standard Name | Broadband Mobile Wireless Access System (XGP) |
General Description | This standard is developed to realize the system called XGP in Japan, and specifies requirements for the radio equipment of radio stations for OFDMA/TDMA TDD Broadband Mobile Wireless Access System defined in the Article 49-29 and SC-FDMA/TDMA TDD Broadband Mobile Wireless Access System which are related to XGP system defined in the Article 49-29-2 of the Ordinance Regulating Radio Equipment. It is worth noting that the SC-FDMA/TDMA TDD Broadband Mobile Wireless Access System is compatible with the Fifth-Generation Mobile communications system. *OFDMA: Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access, TDMA: Time Division Multiple Access, SC-FDMA: Single Carrier Frequency Division Multiple Access, TDD: Time Division Duplex This system is one of the broadband mobile wireless access systems using 2.5 GHz band, and a wireless broadband system with constant mobility. The system corresponds to the broadband use by flexible band allocation for uplink and downlink, and provides public broadband communication services based on the connection to the all-IP based network. This system can provide the advanced mobile communication services mainly in urban areas and offer broadband services in disadvantaged areas. It is noted that this standard is prepared in English only. |
