General Description

Regarding broadcast radio communication system for disaster prevention and administration which informs community residents of disasters, etc. and notifies the direction to evacuation site, etc. by loud speaker, this standard specifies requirements for the radio equipment employing 16 Quadrature Amplitude Modulation method (Channel separation: 15kHz) among radio equipment of fixed radio stations for Regional Digital Simultaneous Communication Systems using 60MHz band frequency defined in Article 58-2-12 of the Ordinance Regulating Radio Equipment. The system is concerned with air interface of digital broadcast system employing TDMA (Time Division Multiple Access) - TDD (Time Division Duplex) access system (hereinafter referred to as “Regional Digital Simultaneous Communication System”).

This standard is enacted by adding provisions for a variety of functions based on the Japanese national technical standard and recommended standard by Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (Official announcement of April 25, 2003) concerning the above communication system.
