Overview of ARIB Standards (STD-T62)

1. Overview

STD Number ARIB STD-T62
Standard Name Real Zero Single Sideband Modulation System
Enactment Date 05.27.1999
General Description

This Standard specifies the radio air interface of the Real Zero Single Sideband Modulation System which is occupied for the communications of business-use services including public services in 400 MHz band and 150 MHz band defined in the Article 57-2-2 of the Ordinance Regulating Radio Equipment.

And, the system corresponds to the classification for standards that the modulation system is the real zero single sideband modulation system and the channel separation is 6.25 kHz.

The narrow band communication system which uses the real zero single sideband modulation system in the private communication networks for the business-use services including the public services consists of the base station equipment and the mobile station equipment, and communicates between the base station and the mobile station, or the mobile station and the mobile station (by way of the base station or directly). Hereafter, the communication from a mobile station to a mobile station means the communication configuration by way of the base station, and the direct communication from a mobile station to a mobile station means the communication configuration not by way of the base station.

2. Amendment History

Ver. Amendment or Enactment Date Amendment summary
2.0 03.19.2008 This Ver. 2.0 revision is prepared for the specifications of the antenna power, the permissible value for unwanted spurious emission intensity, measurement method, etc. in accordance with the amendments of the Ministerial Ordinance and Notification.
1.3 11.30.2005 The Ver.1.3 revision is prepared for the definition of spurious emission etc., permissible value, interim measures, measurement method, etc. in accordance with the amendment of the technical regulation for the permissible value of spurious emission intensity.
1.2 02.05.2004

The Standard shall be revised in Ver.1.2 that the data signals except voice signals and the digital squelch signal (DCS) can be transmitted independently and simultaneously, and revised points are shown below;

(1) The sub-carrier frequency is modified from 2,125 Hz to 3,330 Hz to reserve the insertion area for DCS.

(2) The DCS transmission rate is altered from 100 bps to 300 bps.

(3) The modulation system of DCS is changed from MSK to QPSK.

1.1 10.26.1999 The measurement method is revised in Ver.1.1.
