Overview of ARIB Standards (STD-T114)

1. Overview

STD Number ARIB STD-T114
Standard Name Airport Digital Mobile Telecommunication System TYPE 2
Enactment Date 10.02.2014
General Description

This standard specifies a type of radio section interface for digital airport radio telecommunication equipment in 400MHz band, in accordance with the Article 49-15 of the Ordinance Regulating Radio Equipment, in which the TETRA (TErrestial Trunked RAdio) is adopted as a radio line access method.

Although systems based on “Airport Digital Mobile Telecommunication System (ARIB STD-T87)”, are in operation, the system based on the TETRA method, used in overseas airports is standardized, in response to strong requests from the operators.

Also the interference study reports with an existing system, evaluated by simulation and by real electric filed strength measurement, for both an operational and a transition period, are attached as references.

Note that this standard is considered to be ARIB standard with reference to the TETRA standard which ETSI (European Telecommunications Standards Institute) specifies.
