1. Overview

TR Number ARIB TR-B20
Technical Report Name Guideline for The External Reference Signal of 1125 HDTV Studio Equipment
Enactment Date 07.27.2001
General Description

This technical report defines phase relations between the tri-sync signal of 1125 HDTV studio equipment and the black burst signal of SDTV.

It specifies the reference value of the phase relations between an external reference signal and a video signal, and the allowance value of the phase difference of the video signal against the reference signal. It also specifies the measuring method for those values.

This technical report is applied for HDTV studio equipment handling an 1125/60 HDTV signal specified by ARIB/BTA S-001B and its expansion signals such as 1125/50, 1125/24P and 1125/30P.
