This standard specifies the HDTV color bar, but considers to facilitate the level management SDTV and to achieve a smooth operation by allowing used as a color bar for SDTV.

This standard is applied to the color bar signal in the video production of HDTV multi-format operation.

This standard document does not contain sample image files of the color bar test patterns which conform to this standard.
