Standard Name | Implementation Method of Digital STL/TTL Transmission for Digital Terrestrial Broadcasting |
Enactment Date | 7.25.2002 |
General Description | This standard, relates to a digital method STL / TTL for transmitting digital terrestrial television broadcasting program of the program broadcast for the digital line, which is operated by the broadcasting station, is intended to define the transmission mode. Technical standards of the National Government for STL / TTL digital system has been studied and discussed at the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications Information and Communications Council for the "Technical conditions of the program broadcast for digital line" Advisory No.110 issue (29 November, 1999). As a result, in response to the fact that has been part report on 28 January, 2002 as a "Technical condition of the STL / TTL digital system", it was enacted as "Ordinance to amend a part of the Ordinance Regulating Radio Equipment (MIC ordinance No.67 2002)" on 25 June, 2002. This standard defines the matter in Ordinance of the Ministry as a skeleton, in addition to those which is the content of the combined standard defined it is desirable that the agreed matters on a production. In addition, along with the subsequent Ordinance amendment, make appropriate revisions, in the version 2.0 in response to the "Ordinance to amend a part of Ordinance Regulating Radio Equipment (MIC ordinance No.16 2008)", newly added the provisions of the UHF band TTL. |
Keywords
Keyword | Description |
---|---|
STL | Abbreviation of Studio to Transmitter Link Radio transmission path for transmitting the broadcast program between transmitting station and broadcasting studio |
TTL | Abbreviation of Transmitter to Transmitter Link Radio transmission path for transmitting the broadcast program between a transmitting station and other transmitting station |
SFN | Abbreviation of Single Frequency Networks Broadcast network covering a service areas of plurality at a single frequency |
TS | Abbreviation of Transport Stream Method of transmitting the following signals time-division multiplexed. Those signals are Digitized broadcast program signal, signal for controlling the broadcasting equipment of the transmitting station, and error correction signal. |
IF | Abbreviation of Intermediate Frequency Frequency-converted signal the Digital terrestrial television broadcasting for the OFDM signal in the SHF band or UHF band. Signal for controlling the broadcasting equipment of the transmitting station. |
FPU | Abbreviation of Field Pick-up Unit Radio transmission path for transmitting directly or via STL from the scene of coverage to the broadcast studio video and audio materials of the broadcast program |
OFDM | Abbreviation of Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplex OFDM is one method for transmitting digitized information. With respect to the conventional method of high-speed modulation of the one carrier by all the information, In OFDM, it sends distributes the information to thousands of carriers. Per carrier, since the time for transmitting the mass of digital data of 0 or 1 is several thousand times, strong transmission characteristics to the multi-path interference is obtained. There is this designation from the mechanism in which a plurality of carriers is not an interference with each other (orthogonal multiplexing). This appellation is from the mechanism in which a plurality of carriers is not an interference with each other (orthogonal multiplexing). |
