| General Description | For the system design of high definition television, reference images and reference viewing conditions are required to clarify the relationship between psychological responses and physical characteristics of images. This technical report specifies recommended viewing conditions and reference images for a high definition television system which is a new television system to provide far higher sense of presence, intense and visual-psychological effects than conventional televisions This technical report provides reference viewing conditions for subjective evaluation of high definition television and adjustment methods of displays for the conditions. |
