General Description

In order to implement actual broadcasting services, it is necessary for broadcasters and manufactures to determine detailed transmission operation rules and functional specifications of receivers watching broadcasts based on laws and ARIB standards (STD-B32, B44, B60, B61, B62, B63, etc.). 2.5	04.23.2021	In order to operate the new 4K8K satellite digital broadcasting more stably, the following revisions were implemented. ・Clarification of regulations regarding energization control (function to efficiently distribute key information) of CAS. ・Clarification of the operation about root certificates for multimedia services, etc.
2.4	09.28.2020	In order to operate the new 4K8K satellite digital broadcasting more stably, the following revisions are implemented. ・Clarification of the content protection method "DTCP2" for the IP interface. ・Clarification of the data resource accumulation control function. ・Clarification of the operation for ARIB-TTML animation.
2.3	12.05.2019	In response to the addition of the content protection method and related standards for the new 4K8K satellite digital broadcasting, the following revisions are implemented: ･Addition of regulation on DTCP2, the content protection method for IP interface, certified by The Association for Promotion of Advanced Broadcasting Services (A-PAB). ･Addition of regulation regarding high-speed digital interface. ･Clarification of ligature "Reiwa“. ･Clarification regarding reservation and purchase of CaPPV programs.
2.2	07.30.2019	In order to cope with the tentative operation of the new 4K8K satellite digital broadcasting and to ensure the stable operation of the receivers, the following revisions are implemented. ･Revisions of the operation about character box. ･Clarification and addition of rules regarding initialization operation of subtitles. ･Clarification of APIs used for data content services linked with CAS.
2.1	04.12.2019	In order to expand the multimedia service of the new 4K8K satellite digital broadcasting and to deal with the items that are expected to be operated in the future, the following revisions are implemented. ･Clarification of the resolution about subtitles and superimposes. ･Clarification of the operation about character box. ･Revision concerning the switching of audio mode. ･Addition of the configuration example about hierarchical modulation
2.0	01.21.2019	The following revisions are implemented. ･Clarification of the operation about character box. ･Clarification of the operation in case of updating the MH-AIT. ･Clarification of the function about control character (line feed). ･Clarification of the function to acquire service contract information. ･Update of some information on broadcasters who will advance the start date about the new 4K8K satellite digital broadcasting.
1.9	10.11.2018	The following revisions are implemented. ･Clarification of external audio output. ･Revision of the regulation about multimedia service. ･Revision and clarification of items for which there are no operational assumptions. ･Clarification of desirable operation of CA application in parental control program. ･Revision due to change of broadcaster company name. ･Clarification of protection for images less than HDTV pixels. ･Adding of the regulation regarding “AACS2”, that is the new content protection method of the removable storage, newly recognized in A-PAB.
1.8	07.26.2018	The following revisions are implemented. ･Revision and clarification of regulation on services that will not be operated at the start of the new 4K8K broadcasting. ･Revision of regulation about multimedia services. ･Clarification of the method regarding the check code of CAS module ID. ･Clarification of provisional processing for the operation of the power control function. ･Revision of reference standards in this technical report. ･Update of management organization name.
1.7	04.12.2018	The following revisions are implemented. ･Clarification of the name about media selection button in remote controller. ･Revision of the regulation on multimedia services. ･Adding of the definition about the HDR-TV video reference level. ･Clarification of the auto-display message. ･Clarification of the provisions on the value of organization identification (organization_id) for multimedia service applications. 　 HDR：High Dynamic Range

1.3	03.24.2017	The revision with the number of the biggest services review of the digital broadcasting and clarification of rule contents which are receiver indication at the time, namely the security communication, the immediate indication relations of the automatic indication message and the operative relations of the MPU time stamp.
1.2	12.09.2016	Add the rule about the conditional access for Satellite/Terestrial common use receiver, stipulate the description according to revision of related standards, delete parameters et al. that use was not assumed, in addition to clarify this(excluding Phase 8) contents over the whole book.
